Stony Street Sessions are back for 2023. Let us introduce you to our artists! You may recognise a few of them from before, but we’ve also got some new music to revel in. And don’t forget our eclectic programme of live music events is FREE! So join us in our beloved and beautiful space here in the heart of Frome – on Thursdays from 7.30pm.

Enjoy music ranging from Americana to British Blues to Disco to Hard Bop Jazz and everything in between. Whether you want to boogie the night away or sit back to a singer-songwriter pouring their heart out, there’s a little something for everyone. And of course we’ve got our diverse and delicious wine list, cocktails and seasonal food to amplify the sounds. Check out the 2023 line up below!

12 JANUARY  – EMMA HARRIS BAND

A combination of nu-soul, disco, and jazz-funk with some of best known professional musicians in the region. Get those dancing shoes on! If you missed them before, don’t miss out this time. It’s the perfect way to shake off those January blues! Scope them out here.

19 JANUARY – SINNOBER

We’re so glad these local favourites are back for more. Sinnober is the mercurial creation of multi-instrumentalist song writers Sebastian & Natalie Brice. Sinnober’s sound has elements of jazz, folk, rock, pop and some might describe one of their latest singles ‘Ophelia’ as having hints of early hip hop a la Gil Scott-Heron. 26 JANUARY – KATYA GORRIE TRIO

Katya Gorrie brings the sultry music of Julie London, the blues of the great Peggy Lee and the wit of Blossom Dearie, along with beautifully arranged Guitar by the accomplished Andy Bowen, and the fantastically talented Will Harris on Double Bass. 

2 FEBRUARY  – THE STEVE MATHERS QUARTET

Expect very cool, upbeat hard bop jazz from band leader and virtuosic saxophonist Steve Mathers with an all-star band. Check out the vibe here.

9 FEBRUARY  – EMMA HARRIS BAND

Get that monthly dose of dancing in with some of the best known professional musicians in the region. We’re so glad they’re back combining nu-soul, disco, and jazz-funk. Get a flavour here.

16 FEBRUARY  – EDDIE MARTIN

Known as “The Ambassador of British Blues” Eddie Martin is a prolific songwriter and winner of multiple awards, including the best European Blues Album of 2021 by Mojo Magazine. With incredible musicianship and virtuosic guitar playing, Eddie Martin’s performance will be one to remember. For a feel see here.

23 FEBRUARY  – SOLARIS

DG Solaris is the project of musician, Danny Green. Expect beautiful, well-crafted songs from this incredibly talented singer-songwriter. Check him out here – really beautiful stuff.

2 MARCH  – THE STEVE MATHERS QUARTET

Steve Mathers and his all-star band are back with their very cool, upbeat hard bop jazz. Expect virtuosic performances. Check out the vibe here.

9 MARCH  – AMY BISAZZA

With a selection of folk, blues, and jazz, expect an evening of mesmerising music straight from the soul. 

16 MARCH  – EDDIE MARTIN

23 MARCH  – ALAN POWER

Described as a wistful slice of Americana, Alan Power brings a little bit of Nashville to Somerset. Come on down and enjoy the sound!

30 MARCH  – LORIKEET

With Cello and Vocals from Heather Truesdall, Guitar and Vocals from Rosanna Schura and Zoe Palmer on Percussion, Lorikeet will be bringing a selection of reinvented folk classics and originals with lush three part harmonies and beautiful instrumental performances.
